How is a Long Island
Laser Liposuction treatment performed?
 Your
first step is to schedule a consultation
with Dr. Karina Bibicheff who will determine
whether you are a good candidate for the
procedure based on your medical history
and current health, and if so, what results
you can expect after undergoing the procedure.
The Long Island Laser Liposuction procedure
uses an advanced laser system called SlimLipo™,
which features fat "melting" laser
wavelengths that gently liquefy fat. Unlike
traditional liposuction, Long Island Laser
Liposuction doesn't leave dents or dings.
On the contrary, the SlimLipo laser heats
the tissue which tightens your skin, resulting
in a smoothly contoured surface. Because
Long Island Laser Liposuction is gentle
on the body only local anesthesia is needed.
During the Procedure
On the day of your Long Island Laser Liposuction
procedure Dr. Karina Bibicheff will mark
the area to be treated and local anesthesia
will be applied. Then she will make a few
tiny incisions to insert a small tube “cannula”
and perform the tumescent (very dilute local
anesthetic) to produce profound and long-lasting
local anesthesia of the skin and subcutaneous
fat. After the tumescent technique is done
the laser fiber is inserted to “Melt” the
unwanted fat. The liquefied fat is then
permanently removed from the body, using
a medical suction device. Because Long Island
Laser Liposuction uses precision laser technology,
there's little to no "ripping"
and "tearing" like in traditional
liposuction. You may be pleasantly surprised
by how little discomfort you'll feel. Patients
often say they feel slight warmth in the
area.
Recovery
Typically, the recovery time is a fraction
of that of traditional liposuction. Most
patients experience little to no soreness
and many even go to work the next day. Compression
garments are required for a determined period
of time.

challenging areas that don't respond to
