When will I see results from New York Botox treatment?
 

     New York Botox is injected into the targeted muscle using a tiny micro-needle. Usually several injections are given per muscle. Because the needle is so fine the pain associated with the injections is minimal. You will feel just a very small sting during the injection. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes. Most patients are in and out of the office without downtime and can resume normal activities immediately.

When will I see results from New York Botox treatment?

     Within days, you may see a marked improvement in the treated area. Results are fully evident within two weeks after treatment and lines continue to improve for up to 30 days. New York Botox can last for up to 4 months. Results of New York Botox procedures performed for treating underarm sweating last up to 7 months. Individual results may vary.

Not all Botox Treatments are Equal

     Botox at one practice may not be exactly what you get at another. Botox is supplied in a manufacturers' vial. In order to be able to inject the active units of Botox, the physician must add saline to get it in liquid form”. This process called reconstitution enables the Botox to be extracted from the vial into the syringe. The more saline that is added to the Botox vial, therefore the less active units that will be present in the syringe.

     Every practice gets the Botox from the same manufacturer Allergan, but during the reconstitution process some physicians add saline at the recommended standard by the American Society of Plastic Surgery, and some others add more saline than recommended. Physicians who add more saline than suggested are giving you a less effective injection of Botox. Also, many facilities quote a price based on area. But what is their definition of an area? They may actually be breaking up what is considered one area into two areas. With this in mind, you should be cautious when practices offer Botox at bargain prices.
